un po di musica alternativa.... ho scoperto da poco questo tipo di sound... e devo dire che mi ispira molto.. spero piacciano anche a voi, vale la pena ascoltare potrebbero darvi qualche piacevole sorpresa
Nice posts, Pe. The Raven starts out all mellow, slow, kinda like when you wake up for work all groggy , then you have your first cup of coffee...then the caffeine kicks in, nd off you go!
Here is an artist with a fantastic voice, who was introduced to me by Pe. (Muchas Gracias, Amiga!)
Without further ado; I give you the love child of Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse : Kinnie Starr
:-D gosh yes billie holiday and amy whinehouse having a child together it's maybe the wierdest thing maybe they had many children together.. Video
Il sound su questa canzone è davvero bello, mi piace molto anche la canzone. il video è davvero tremendo quindi non lo guardate Sound of this one is really nice, i really like it... and song is nice too.. the video is a bit silly, do not look at it just listen to the song! Video
Brava Pe! Once again, very nice selections. :-). I love the Telepomusik's love's almighty. Brilliant to blend Billie Holiday and new age-y jazz. :-) I confess I could do without the random voices in the middle, as I love Billie's voice and her ability to take the listener on a journey, so I don't like having that journey interrupted ;-) :-) Otherwise, good stuff. :-)
Warpaint -stars I like also, despite the silly video. At one point I was wondering if they were lighting up joints rather than sparklers! O.O :-D It reminds me of a kind of new age Fleetwood Mac. If I close my eyes I can hear Stevie Nicks singing along. :-). Maybe the singers are the love children of Stevie and.....Suzanne Vega. :-D .........
Nice video Mongo. I hadn't realized that Freddie and Michael had recorded together. It's unfortunately an altogether too appropriate message for the messed up world in which we live. But, you know, it is also true that along with times of great tumult also comes the opportunity of great possibilities. When we keep walking one foot in front of the other, one step at a time, we will emerge into to bask in the warmth of the sun.
really nice songs! and yes Ella it is really talented..although i have to say that both the beginning of the two videos have got a strange "the ring" "cloverfield" " blair wich project" kind of atmosphere nice song too the one from paloma i like the lyrics..she reminds me of an italian artist who reminds me of whine house actually... i guess that many have tried to set their vocals on that type of sound.
Ella Henderson is definitely one talented singer. I like Ghost (been there.) ;-)
Paloma Faith I'd never heard of before. Wow! Fantastic voice! She sounds like a blend of Amy Winehouse and Shirley Bassey (possibly best known for singing the title song of the James Bond film, Goldfinger.). I really like Only Love Can Hurt Like This. So true. (The way you know it's true love is by how miserable you sometimes feel when going through a rough patch or, when the love is not mutual, or on the same level. ;-( ). ;-)
As for All About That Bass. ;-) all I can say is.....go ahead on giiiiirrrrrrrrl!!!! :-D:-D:-D
Take Me Somewhere Nice is....nice, Pe. :-). I like the music. It's atmospheric, melancholy; takes you along with the emotions, kind of like your just a wee bit drunk. ;-)
Musically, it reminds me of the Cowboy Junkies. ;-)
Pe' with her extremely varied and versatile tastes in music (that's good )
I must say I find that Mogway song quite melancholic however sometimes we are in a melancholic mode and need to feed our souls with something like this.
Well, following the slower and more romantic, melancholic melodies... Ellie Goulding and Pixie Lott (with a cover for Caravan of Love, made for charity):
